Two trans-Atlantic Delta flights were searched after landing in New York at JFK International Airport because of false hijacking threat.
After they landed, hijack suppression teams boarded the planes before the hoax was revealed. According to FoxNews.com:
Delta Flight 119, en route from Paris and originating in Bombay, has been searched by hijack emergency teams and given the all-clear, aviation sources and Port Authority Police told FOX.
Delta Flight 81, flying from Amsterdam, was being held and searched in a similar manner because preliminary information suggested a "person of interest" might be onboard and pilots and crews were being questioned, according to the aviation source.
