Car Bomb Explodes At Iraqi Police Station Killing Seven

Today in Tikrit, the former home town of Saddam Hussein, a car bomb exploded at the police headquarters killing seven policemen.
The group that claimed responsibility for the attack was led by an al Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, he claimed his actions were a suicide bombing.
''A lion from the martyrs brigade of Al Qaeda Organisation of Holy War in Iraq launched an attack on the cowardly mercenary police in Tikrit this morning,'' it said in an Internet statement.
With the fast approaching Jan. 30th elections, I'm sure that more attacks will be on the way.
