Today, a group of Israeli civilians were attacked outside the West Bank city of Nablus, wounding four people, leaving one individual in critical condition.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer states…

"The attackers shot from a moving car, the military said.

The attack came just two days before Palestinian elections.

Front-running presidential candidate Mahmoud Abbas traveled to Nablus on Thursday, saying he hopes to resume peace talks with Israel after the election.

After the visit, militant leaders in the city said they would support Abbas' efforts to reach a cease-fire with Israel"

Palestinians are not just electing a new president but the man who hopefully will lead them to a land of statehood.
