Members from the Georgia Tech Information Security Center, BellSouth, and Internet Security Systems have teamed up to research VoIP security.
According to a vnunet article, they intend to conduct an analysis researching the following the issues:
- VoIP authentication for dealing with voice spam
- modelling of VoIP traffic and device behavior
- mobile phone security
- security of VoIP applications running on user agents BellSouth and Internet Security Systems have contributed $300,000 to the project, which will see the two companies working with faculty and graduate students from Georgia Tech.
