Enterprise security company StillSecure has announced that it's Safe Access NAC solution is now functional with the recently announced NAC/NAP solution from Cisco and Microsoft.
The company says: Safe Access will fulfill critical health agent, health enforcement, and policy creation roles by offering deeper policy definition, and multiple testing and enforcement options. Using Safe Access in conjunction with the NAC/NAP framework helps customers better realize the full benefits of the combined environment.
Safe Access' support for industry standards uniquely positions it to work separately within each framework or in concert to bring the full benefits of network access control. By utilizing both the NAP agent and the NAC enforcement standards, Safe Access allows administrators to test for hundreds of off-the-shelf tests, well beyond the testing and policy definition options offered in the standalone NAC/NAP environment.
"We have been looking forward to Cisco and Microsoft delivering on their promise of interoperability so that we can show the critical role that Safe Access can play in the NAC/NAP scenario," said StillSecure CTO Mitchell Ashley.
The integration of NAC of NAP is due out late next year with the release of Microsoft's Windows Server Longhorn, and Safe Access will be ready for it.
