SophosLabs global director Mark Harris will be discussing the changes in malware and spam at an upcoming seminar in Stockholm, Sweden.
The seminar is called "Malware - Virus, spyware and rootkits", and Harris's presentation is entitled "Modern Malware - Staying under the radar".
According to Sophos, Harris will discuss how malware and spam are getting more and more targeted, and how hackers are going after smaller victims to stay out of the news. Also on Harris's agenda will be discussion about the future of mobile phone, VoIP, and IM threats.
"Organized cybercriminals are using sophisticated methods to increase their chances of stealing money from innocent users," says Mr. Harris. "It's important to understand how modern hackers and spammers operate in order to effectively protect against them."
The seminar will take place on next Tuesday, June 20.
