McAfee's Falcon platform, which is to be released this summer, will come in four different varieties for different levels of protection.
The first package is McAfee Total Protection, which is aimed at families and consumers with wireless home networks who store valued personal information on their machines.
Second is McAfee Internet Security Suite, which is geared toward Internet users who store valued personal info on their machines and have children who access the Internet.
Third is McAfee PC Protection Plus, which is for the basic Internet user, who also keeps digital assets on their machine, and finally McAfee VirusScan Plus, which is for the most basic of Internet users, who only surf, use e-mail, and IM.
"Rather than try to force a 'one-size-fits-all' service on all consumers, we have tailored four specific service packages for four different consumer profiles to ensure each customer can subscribe to the service level that best suits their individual computing and online practices," says Marc Solomon, Director of Product Management, McAfee Consumer.
Further details about each package such as pricing and availability will be provided closer to their release.
