In its first partnership involving Windows Live OneCare, Microsoft has struck a deal with Qwest communications.
As a result of this deal, Qwest broadband customers will be offered OneCare at no extra charge.
This is only part of a bigger deal between the two companies, which will see Qwest offering other Microsoft-branded services such as Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live e-mail.
"Qwest is dedicated to providing customers with the best total high-speed Internet experience. Qwest will offer its customers improved, more personalized Internet experiences through Windows Live services," said Qwest executive vice president of product and marketing Dan Yost .
"By working with Microsoft, an established an pre-eminent leader in Internet solutions, Qwest has further solidified that commitment," continued Yost.
It has not yet been announced when Microsoft's services will become available from Qwest.
