As of July 1, there will be a new group of email security products available from Microsoft.
These are Antigen for Exchange, Antigen for SMTP Gateways, Antigen Spam Manager and Antigen Enterprise Manager. The releases are the result of last year's acquisition of Sybari Software by Microsoft.
"Antigen's unique multiengine solution integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Exchange Server to provide customers with the benefits of layered protection, while minimizing cost, complexity and impact on performance," says Ted Kummert, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Security, Access and Solutions Division.
The products will not only include scan engines from AhnLab, Authentium, CA, Kaspersky, MailFilters.com, Norman Data Defense Systems, Sophos, and VirusBuster, but also Microsoft's new anti-virus engine.
New features to Antigen include enhanced signature updates, and quarantine management and log file management, and cluster support .
