According to Microsoft, Windows Vista, the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Windows Server "Longhorn" cut down IT Costs by reducing security risks.
Beta 2 versions of all three were released today to Partners and Customers.
The announcement was made by Bill Gates himself at the Microsoft Windows Hardware Engineering Conference.
This was the first time Microsoft released test versions of all three of its flagship products at the same time.
"The release of these three betas is a significant milestone for Microsoft and a major step toward delivering the platforms that will drive the next decade of computing," said Gates.
"The combination of these innovative platform technologies and the new hardware and software being developed by our partners will make PCs and other devices more powerful, more useful and more intelligent for businesses today and into the future," he added.
There has recently been some speculation that the Vista operating system would be delayed due to a legal battle with Symantec, but Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said that he didn't see that happening.
Windows Vista Beta 2 and Windows Server "Longhorn" Beta 2 are currently available to developers and IT professionals with MSDN and TechNet subscriptions, as well as to members of the Technology Adoption Program (TAP) and the TechBeta program.
Microsoft says it will soon begin a Windows Vista Customer Preview Program (CPP) to allow developers and IT professionals that aren't in the mentioned programs to obtain the code and begin their own testing.
