The bots seem very smartly designed, and, if Google can't properly detect them, a serious problem for the future of click-based advertising. The only solution that could work is, as usual, seeing who benefits and slamming them down. Of course, if I were a smart scammer, I'd infect 34,000 PCs, have them commit a million fraudulent clicks, a tiny percentage of which benefitted me, all the rest of which drew suspicion on other websites.
