China is said to be hit harder by viruses, worms, denial-of-service attacks, and identity thefts than the United States, and security companies are taking notice.
Cybertrust and CITIC Pacific's CPCNet for example plan to offer an integrated suite of information security services to Chinese companies. The services will be sold under the name TrustCSI. Zhu Shenshen at ShanghaiDaily.com writes:
DOMESTIC and overseas firms have accelerated their expansion in China's corporate information technology security market, whose revenue will more than double in the next five years...
The revenue in the Chinese IT security market was US$378 million last year and it will jump to US$976 million in 2010, said IDC, a US-based IT research firm.
Companies can expect to see TrustCSI services coming out of a Security Operations Center (SOC) in Hong Kong late next month.
