Fortify Joins FindBugs Project

Fortify Software has joined the FindBugs open source project in an effort to expand functionality.
FindBugs is a tool that detects bugs in Java programs including common coding mistakes. It is based on the concept of bug patterns, and shows potential problems to programmers as they code.
Findbugs can be integrated with Fortify's Source Code Analysis product, and can view results from other Fortify tools like its Audit Workbench and Software Security Manager.
The announcement was made at this week's JavaOne conference.
