There is a conference in September in Malaysia called the Hack in the Box Security Conference 2006.
McAfee Chief Security Architect John Viega will be presenting at the conference. Viega's presentation will be titled "What application security tools vendors don't want you to know and holes they will never find!"
I don't think I'll be making it to Malaysia, but I have to admit, it sounds like an interesting one.
Also presenting will be Mark Curphey, Vice President of Consulting at McAfee's Foundstone division. The two of them will use live working examples to demonstrate limitations of protection and assessment tools.
The conference will be held at the Westin, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia September 18-21.
