McAfee announced that its Foundstone Enterprise version 4.2 was named as a finalist in this year's eWEEK Excellence Awards, which will take place on May 23rd.
Foundstone Enterprise is up for the "Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation" category. The awards are designed honor a product's innovation in a specific technology category along with the potential to address emerging enterprise needs.
"We're pleased that McAfee Foundstone Enterprise 4.2 was chosen as one of the best in the industry for its continued innovation and its ability to address both current and future enterprise needs," said McAfee senior product marketing manager Patrick Bedwell.
"With organizations facing a deluge of information about threats and vulnerabilities, its key that they deploy an effective priority-based risk management system, " added Bedwell.
Entries for the awards were categorized by eWEEK Labs analysts and the eWEEK Corporate Partner Advisory Board. Each category has three finalists.
McAfee is up against Core Security Technologies Core Impact 5.0 and Juniper Networks ISG 2000 with IDP 1.0.
