IT infrastructure supplier Avocent is acquiring Vector Capital's LANDesk group for $416 million.
Included in the acquisition is the LANDesk Security Suite (LDSS), and the LANDesk Management Suite (LDMS).
These tools are aimed at IT managers at medium to enterprise-level companies for controlling their networks and automating complex IT processes from one console.
Also included in the acquisition are the following LDMS add-ons: LANDesk Server Manager (LDSM), LANDesk Process Manager (LPM), LANDesk Patch Manager (LDPM), and LANDesk Asset Manager (LDAM).
The deal is expected to close within the next 60-75 days.
