A UK agency called the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) centre may post names and photos of child-sex offenders as a warning to parents and kids.
The agency, which is reportedly backed by Microsoft and AOL, as well as the police, will also target offenders who use credit cards to purchase images on the net.
Another objective of the agency is to identify victims of abuse, trace them and rescue them.
CEOP CEO Jim Gamble has issued a warning to sex offenders to either "Get help, or get caught" because the Internet is no longer "unpoliceable".
