Chinese President Hu Jintao is visiting Microsoft's headquarters and is meeting with Bill Gates and other Microsoft executives.
They are expected to discuss the company's commitment to helping further the development of a strong software industry in China, continued cooperation with Chinese universities and schools, support for China-based research and development, and training and alliances with Chinese companies
In an effort to fight software piracy, China passed an operating system mandate that requires all computer vendors to include pre-installed and paid-for operating systems with each computer purchase. This is almost certain to be a topic of discussion as the president visits Microsoft.
Obviously the mandate will be of tremendous benefit to Microsoft who has over 3,000 partnerships in China.
