Apple has released a beta version of Boot Camp, which lets Mac users take advantage of Intel dual-core processors and run Windows XP.
Macworld quotes Robert Cringely as suggesting that this will eventually lead to Vista support to combine with OS X security creating a much more secure environment.
"By running Windows Vista this way, Apple can offer the most secure version of Vista available with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership, which could lead to a leadership change in business computing," says Cringely.
Even though you must have a full version of Windows along with an Intel-based Mac to take advantage of Boot Camp, there has been speculation that Dell sales will suffer as a result of its release.
