Here's a story you don't hear everyday; oh, wait a minute, yes you do. Someone has gained unauthorized access to a company's customer data.
This time it's Ross-Simons private label credit card numbers and expiration dates as well as other personal information related to Ross-Simons account applications.
Ross-Simons caught the problem on April 4 and notified the authorities, and its commercial partners. The cause of the breach has reportedly been corrected.
The company is in the process of letting all of the affected customers know about the problem.
