Moscow-based Kaspersky Lab hooked up with Dallas-based DeepNines as they announced a technology partnership on Thursday that will integrate Kaspersky's antivirus and anti-spyware technology into DeepNines' Security Edge Platform.
The new collaboration will put the strong anti-virus and anti-malware power of Kaspersky with the Multi-Method Inspection (MMI) process that integrates firewall, intrusion prevention, traffic management, anti-virus, anti-phishing and anti-spyware of DeepNines.
"Network viruses, worms and other types of malware continue to evolve, mutate and attack in different ways," said Dan Jackson, President and COO of DeepNines.
"To deliver the industry's best UTM solution, we focus our internal efforts on continuing to develop our patent-pending intrusion prevention technology and rely on best-in-breed partners such as Kaspersky Lab for anti-virus. Our complementary technologies enable DeepNines to offer customers a level of security that is unsurpassed in the industry."
"DeepNines's impressive list of customers coupled with leadership in the UTM space clearly demonstrates that their value proposition is resonating in the marketplace," said Vitaly Bezrodnykh, business development director at Kaspersky Lab.
"DeepNines is an ideal match for Kaspersky technology. The combination of Kaspersky Lab's industry-leading anti-virus and anti-spyware software with DeepNines's SEP solution provides networks with an integrated defense against malicious attacks on any application and any host."
