San Jose-based LogLogic announced on Monday the first edition of their information logging software designed to keep track of all email messages running on Microsoft's Exchange Server.

"By providing insight across IT groups, CIOs and IT personnel can instantly form a view of business risk and compliance," said Chris Brennan, CEO, LogLogic. "Email activity can now be easily viewed in the context of access to critical information assets, applications and proxy activity. And, whereas most systems provide simple alerting and superficial dashboards, LogLogic enables a deep drill-down on that data for rapid risk mitigation. This recognizes the critical role protecting information assets has on the success of Enterprises and the importance of best-in-class corporate governance."

"Using the powerful and scalable system for log management from LogLogic is helping us eliminate the cost and complexity of analyzing mission-critical log data from our systems", said James Rotterman, Director, Information Security, HealthNow. "It is streamlining our ability to manage our IT network and ensuring tighter security, availability and compliance."

For the first time, LogLogic 3 release 2 enables Microsoft Exchange email activity to be quickly and easily viewed in the context of web, application and network data - enabling risks to be identified and threats eliminated in seconds. LogLogic 3 acts as a "black-box" for user activity, providing a forensic record of email including blind copies and failed email attempts. New regulations require critical email data to be captured and stored in environments where log data rates often exceed billions of messages per day.

User activity can be easily correlated across multiple applications and devices with 100 percent capture of high-volume transport data for compliance with regulations. "Where existing solutions focus on the content of E-mail, we complement them with a deeper view of user activity - from Microsoft Exchange, through proxies, enterprise applications and key customer data and information," said Dominique Levin, vice president, product management, LogLogic. "LogLogic's Open Log Services also make it possible to view log data, reports and alerts in and alongside other management systems."

LogLogic r2 is shipping now on all LogLogic LX and ST appliances, and is available as a free upgrade to all existing LogLogic 3 customers with an active maintenance agreement. LogLogic Compliance Suite runs on all versions of LogLogic 3 appliances and is available immediately starting at $9,999.
