Application Security, Inc. has become a part of the Cyber Security Industry Alliance (CSIA) as an Emerging Security Partner in its Affiliate Membership Program.

As a result of its membership, the company will participate in the appointing of representatives, and proposing of new initiatives according to a press release.

"Nearly 50 high profile security breaches have occurred this year alone. Database security is clearly at the forefront of critical issues that must be addressed to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive and personal information," said CSIA executive director Paul Kurtz.

"Application Security, Inc.'s expertise in this area and efforts to offer best practices for the Payment Card Industry standard provide value to CSIA as we work to minimize data compromise and increase consumer confidence in our information systems," added Kurtz.

Application Security, Inc. CEO Jack Hembrough cited providing its customers with the highest level of database and application security as the company's top priority. He believes that they can better do that as a part of the CSIA.
