McAfee released the results of its third quarter yesterday, reporting a significant drop in profit when compared to the previous year.
The company did however raise its outlook for the full year. It expects fourth-quarter earnings to be in the 33 to 39 cents per share range with between $255 million and $280 million in sales.
McAfee anticipates $1.28 to $1.34 per share with $990 million to $1.02 billion in revenue for the entire year. Next year, the company expects earnings of $1.35 to $1.50 per share with revenue of $1.15 billion to $1.25 billion.
CRN reports that analysts believe that fourth-quarter income will be 37 cents per share with $271.8 million in revenue, and full-year earnings will be $1.24 per share with $992.6 million in revenue. They believe that next year's income will be $1.38 per share on $1.08 billion in revenue.
According to AP, McAfee shares closed at $30.66 on the New York Stock Exchange last night, and fell another 6 cents in after-hours trading.
