Mozilla quickly patched a recently discovered security vulnerability in its Firefox browser, but this is only a temporary solution. For now, the patch just disables the buggy feature, which prevents the vulnerability.
The Mozilla team is currently working on a permanent solution. As the browser deals with international domain names, the flaw can cause a buffer overflow leading to viruses being able to get into the PC.
No exploits related to the flaw have been reported so far, but Mozilla is taking the proper precautions. The flaw affects all versions of Firefox, even the recently released beta of version 1.5.
