Juniper Networks has extended support for its Enterprise Infranet architecture with the introduction of four new Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Virtual Private Network (VPN) hardware platforms.
"Juniper Networks continues its strong leadership of the SSL VPN market," said Charles Kolodgy, research director, security products at IDC. "With its new hardware platforms, Juniper continues to deliver enterprise customers greater performance for secure, remote connectivity."
Juniper says that the new Secure Access (SA) 700, 2000, 4000 and 6000 appliances provide enterprises with enhanced delivery control through best-in-class performance, scalability and redundancy.
According to a press release, each new hardware platform is provisioned to meet differing customer needs and price points while lowering the total cost of operations for secure remote, extranet and intranet access.
"Juniper Networks is once again extending its market leadership with new SSL VPN appliances - a key component to the Enterprise Infranet architecture," said Vivian Ganitsky, director of product management for the Juniper Networks Secure Access appliances.
"The Secure Access SSL VPN appliances give enterprises and service providers enhanced delivery control, making them the ideal solution for any size organization looking to secure and assure connectivity among remote employees, partners or customers," continued Ganitsky.
The new Secure Access 700, 2000, 4000 and 6000 appliances utilize the SSL security protocol that is available in all standard Web browsers, enabling enterprises to provide remote access to mobile employees, contractors, partners and customers without requiring an installed client, Juniper says.
