NitroSecurity, a provider of next-generation intrusion prevention solutions for enterprise networks, announced it has added support for sFlow from Foundry Networks to its IPS Management Console.
Integrated support for sFlow information into the NitroSecurity IPS allows customers to benefit from the ability to observe and analyze traffic flow patterns from Foundry switches and routers throughout the network. The sFlow traffic can then be correlated with detailed security event records from NitroSecurity's IPS to provide comprehensive, network-wide security monitoring and reporting.
"The combination of Foundry's switch-based sFlow traffic monitoring and NitroSecurity's high-speed security event aggregation and correlation engine provides customers with a powerful tool for network-wide intrusion prevention," said Gary Hemminger, director of Product Marketing for Foundry Networks. "This solution enables enterprises to scale their security management without the costly deployment of sensors throughout the network."
Support for sFlow in NitroSecurity's IPS products will be available in the fourth quarter of 2005.
"We are pleased to provide this enhanced functionality to our new line of IPS products," said Terry Christensen, CEO of NitroSecurity. "Offering the broadest range of products with embedded sFlow support, Foundry Networks is one of the industry's leading network infrastructure providers. By adding native sFlow support to our products we look forward to further strengthening our position as a leading provider of active intrusion prevention solutions."
