AuthentiDate International, the European subsidiary of AuthentiDate Holding Corp. announced today that AuthentiDate and SafeNet have launched a new product for mass production of secure digital timestamps within the framework of an exclusive partnership.

The new high-security "Timestamp Server SP 250" is already in use in production environments at customer sites and allows immediate and simple volume-independent hardening of critical business processes, with a performance of over 250 digital timestamps per second.

The "Timestamp Server SP 250" was developed for use in protecting electronic data in high-volume processes, including legal proceedings. For example, the German Judicial Communications Act of March 18, 2005 allows scanning of court files, and thus digital-only acquisition and storage. The high-security timestamp server by SafeNet and AuthentiDate provides rapid and long-term secure storage of court files after scanning. In addition, the server could also be used in supporting business processes to improve internal controls and in providing long-term protection against manipulation for data in military, research and development or patent applications.

The high-security "Timestamp Server SP 250" comprises a hardware component by SafeNet and special software by AuthentiDate. Both components are currently going through certification based on the stipulations of the European Signature Act and the globally recognized Common Criteria (EAL 3+/4+) security standard. This will allow Trust Centers and governmentally certified IT service providers in Europe to deploy the timestamp server in compliance with the German and European Signature regulations.

The "Timestamp Server SP 250" supports a range of communication protocols such as TCP and http, and can generate up to 250 RFC 3161 compliant timestamps per second.

"As enterprises increasingly base their business workflows on electronic transactions, these transactions need at least the kind of protection they would have on paper. The new "Timestamp Server SP 250" by SafeNet and AuthentiDate gives customers the reassurance that the integrity of their digital data can be guaranteed at any time and wherever they may be, even in extremely high volume environments," says Tom Koehler, Regional Sales Manager, SafeNet Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Jan C. Wendenburg, the Chief Executive Officer of AuthentiDate International AG, adds: "With their new product, SafeNet and AuthentiDate, both international players, are now in a position to provide a secure platform to all of their customers. In the future, the product will not only be validated to comply with German standards, but with globally accepted criteria. This allows us to comply with the strictest requirements, and guarantee an optimum level of security."
