SonicWALL VP Of Engineering Speaks At WiFi/Voice Over WiFi Planet Conference

John Gmuender, vice president of engineering at SonicWALL, will address the topic of cost-effective integration of wired and wireless security within the corporate LAN and WAN in a panel session entitled 'Taming the Tiger: Cost-Effective Wireless Management.'
The discussion will tackle issues including architectures that automate RF management by automatically configuring and maintaining the radio network, workable approaches for offering authenticated/controlled/monitored guest access, and methods for managing integrated security that spans both wired and wireless networks.
He will speak at the WiFi/Voice over WiFi Planet Conference and Exhibition at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. SonicWALL products can be viewed at Booth # 311. It takes place at 3.00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16.
Gmuender has over 18 years of software and hardware engineering experience including 10 years of startup and corporate management. He joined SonicWALL with the acquisition of SecureCom Networks, the startup he founded and led as CEO and VP of Engineering. At SonicWALL, Gmuender has led innovations including the development of the company's range of deep packet inspection-based firewalls, the introduction of gateway threat prevention services throughout the product set, and the creation of a powerful, affordable secure wireless ecosystem that enables consolidated management of security policies for both wired and wireless networks.
