Perimeter Announces New Version Of Gateway Service

Perimeter Internetworking announced today version 4.0 of its flagship service Gateway. Gateway 4.0 is the fourth generation of the market's leading "Security-in-the-Cloud" solution.
Gateway 4.0 combines dozens of technologies from best-of-breed vendors to create the industry's first "business aware" perimeter security service. The Gateway security service replaces traditional firewall and IDS monitoring services with a network-based service that eliminates the need for all future capital expenditures and integration costs.

Traditional security technologies use negative testing to rule traffic out on the violation of policy. With Gateway 4.0, Perimeter extends its advantage by adding a broad suite of positive traffic tests, in addition to a host of extensions to its leading negative and anomalous suite of tests. All of these advanced technologies then leverage the Business Aware Architecture to provide valuable decision enabling context to every event.
