Sarvega XML Networking announced a webcast featuring Gartner VP & Distinguished Analyst John Pescatore and Sarvega Senior Vice President Girish Juneja.
The webcast addresses how a tighter integration of XML Web Services security into the existing network fabric can bring about more streamlined security operations and increased efficiencies for the enterprise.
The webcast compares today's proxy-based solutions for XML Web Services security to a more integrated approach to security based on a next generation XML NIPS and a clear separation of Enablement & Prevention. The webcast explores the growing use and importance of XML Web Services in enterprise and government applications. Sarvega and Gartner experts assess the current state of XML Web Services security implementations as they review the capabilities and limitations of today's proxy-based solutions.
As vice president and research fellow in Gartner's Research organization, John Pescatore is Gartner's lead analyst on all Internet-facing security issues, covering a broad range of enterprise- critical areas. In this webcast John comments on the threats that enterprises face with their Web Services and explains the pros and cons of today's approach to security. John describes how Web Services security evolves to protect the enterprise and improve security operations.
"Sarvega believes that it is important for enterprises to assess the market and technology drivers that are changing the face of XML security and to understand their impact on network security architecture and operations," said Girish Juneja, senior vice president of product management for Sarvega. "This webcast provides a good roadmap for enterprises to see where XML security is heading, hear about the technology that makes this possible, and learn what this means for their Web Services security implementations."
Sarvega is considered an industry leader in XML security, threat prevention, and threat models and has authored several important White Papers on these subjects. Sarvega's XESOS technology provides critical, industry leading functionality for a Network XML IPS solution by making it possible to inspect and protect against vulnerabilities in XML Web Services flows as they arrive, rather than waiting for the entire XML Web Services document.
