Remote Denial of Service exploit poses threat to TCP/IP implementations of ICMP on Cisco and other vendor platforms.
SecurityFocus reports several types of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks may exploit numerous ICMP implementations.
Cisco's IOS, PIX, and VPN Concentrator, IBM AIX, Juniper Networks, and Microsoft, Redhat, and Sun operating systems list as vulnerable to this exploit. Administrators should check with vendor web sites for information on updating their devices.
