NetWolves has acquired certain assets, including the customers, of Resicom, headquartered in Doylestown, Pa., to significantly increase its customer base and access to students in the higher education market.
The company today introduced NetWolves Resicom, the company's second wholly-owned subsidiary in the higher education market, to increase its college and university customer base to approximately 350 institutions. Through its two subsidiaries and the efforts of its direct sales force, NetWolves will continue to offer both traditional student and administrative telecommunications services while delivering new technologies that will enable its institutional customers to leverage their student customer base.
"We are pleased to welcome Leidy B. Smith as president of this new subsidiary and to introduce advanced new services that are 'Powered by NetWolves' to our new NetWolves Resicom customers," said Walter M. Groteke, chairman and chief executive officer for NetWolves. "We look forward to using NetWolves' managed services business model to roll out the latest services and technologies like Wi-Fi, satellite broadband and Voice over IP, because we believe that our model is key to creating an efficient methodology for introducing new higher education services."
"There is a tremendous opportunity in the higher education market to offer a wide range of on-campus services and applications geared toward this generation of 'connected' college students," said Smith, president for NetWolves Resicom Corp. "This new venture will enable NetWolves Resicom to leverage the strength of our institutional customer relationships and provide a much broader solution offering."
Smith brings to NetWolves Resicom more than 15 years of experience as the founder of Resicom Corp., a leading provider of telecommunications services to approximately 100 colleges and universities in 18 states.
NetWolves' Managed Services for Education provide the benefits of a multi-vendor solution on a single invoice. The solution includes managed network security, long distance services, Internet connectivity, customer care, customized calling cards, conferencing, and student and administrative billing. This solution offers an expansive range of telecommunications applications, from network continuity and security to the latest in Wi-Fi, satellite, and Voice over IP.
