Net Optics announced that its Tap and Regeneration Tap Technology has achieved OPSEC (Open Platform for Security) certification from Check Point Software Technologies.
OPSEC certification ensures that Net Optics Tap Technology seamlessly integrates with Check Point's market-leading InterSpect Security Appliances. Net Optic's OPSEC certified Gigabit Copper Tap and 10/100 Regeneration Tap integrates with Check Point's InterSpect Security Appliances to ensure customers can passively monitor, troubleshoot and secure their network. Check Point InterSpect is an internal security gateway that blocks the spread of worms and attacks inside the network and provides network zone segmentation. Net Optics innovative Tap solutions create permanent access ports for passive monitoring, providing InterSpect users the benefit of additional security and full network visibility. Check Point customers can confidently rely on Net Optics OPSEC certified solutions to deliver uninterrupted, full-duplex network monitoring access while reducing exposure to malicious network attacks and network failures.
"Net Optics OPSEC certification offers Check Point customers a secure network access solution for added ease and peace of mind when deploying their InterSpect appliance," said Bob Shaw, CEO, Net Optics. "This is a great achievement towards providing our mutual customers the ability to strengthen and streamline their overall network security infrastructure."
"A secure deployment strategy is critical for all security gateway appliances," said Paul Weinstein, vice president of business development for Check Point Software Technologies. "We are pleased Net Optics Tap technology has passed OPSEC certification to support customers' deployment and security monitoring needs with an optimal Tap solution. The alliance of our product solutions provides InterSpect customers full network visibility and increased management capabilities for an efficient network environment."
