McAfee's Foundstone Enterprise 4.0 vulnerability management solution has been named as a finalist for CMP Media LLC's Network Computing Well-Connected Awards in the security category.
Winners of the 11th annual awards will be announced in the publication's April 28, 2005 issue.
CMP Media LLC's Network Computing's Well-Connected Awards honor the year's outstanding technology products and services and represent the very best products and services the technology industry has to offer in networking. Finalists and winners are chosen by the publication's technology editors from products that have been tested and evaluated in their real-world labs. The awards are only for products that have been through analysis and testing by Network Computing in the previous year from May to May.
"For the 11th year in a row, Network Computing will be recognizing the most outstanding tech products and services in the networking and IT world in our Well-Connected award 4/28 issue," says Mike Lee, editor of Network Computing magazine. "The awards are a snapshot in time, the best of what we evaluated over 12 months in our Real-World Labs® -- more than 134 finalists in more than 44 categories have been named. The winners will be announced in our 4/28 issue."
McAfee Foundstone Enterprise received the 'Tester's Choice' award in a competitive review of vulnerability lifecycle management systems that published in the December 2004 issue. McAfee Foundstone Enterprise 4.0 dominated the competition, receiving high rankings in all key-testing areas, with a near-perfect score in the areas of profile management and user management.
According to the review, "Foundstone takes our Tester's Choice award because it is, simply, an all-around strong offering."
"Receiving recognition for our McAfee Foundstone Enterprise product from Network Computing is both an honor and a testament to McAfee's value to the customer and leadership in the vulnerability management marketplace," said George Kurtz, senior vice president of risk management at McAfee, Inc. "Because these awards are based on real-world product testing by exceptional technologists in the industry, being recognized as a finalist further validates the strength of the McAfee Foundstone vulnerability management solutions."
