Edvance and Tumbleweed jointly announced Edvance's introduction and support of the Tumbleweed MailGate Email Firewall solution in the Hong Kong market.
Since entering into a reseller agreement with Tumbleweed in the first half of last year, Edvance has secured multiple customers in both the Hong Kong commercial and government sectors.
Edvance Limited is one of Hong Kong's premier providers of secure Internet communications solutions and technology Consultancy Services in the region. Tumbleweed products allow Edvance to solve their customer's email security needs. Tumbleweed has reinforced its commitment to the Hong Kong market by addressing region-specific requirements with the latest release of MailGate Email Firewall. MailGate Email Firewall 6.1 now supports expanded character sets, allowing the MailGate Email Firewall to even more effectively block Asian-language spam while maintaining a low false positive rate.
"The Tumbleweed suite of solutions, combined with Edvance's growing resources, further solidifies the strong stable of security offerings for the Hong Kong market," said Ashley Lo, Technical Director of Edvance. "Given the significant increase in phishing attacks, spam, and e-mail borne viruses over the past year, organizations are now looking to technology providers like Tumbleweed for highly effective, comprehensive, and cost effective security solutions."
"We are very pleased to have a partner of the caliber of Edvance representing Tumbleweed in the Hong Kong market," said Bob Crane, VP Asia-Pacific and Japan. "We are very encouraged by their success to date, and extremely excited about working with Edvance to meet the demands of the Hong Kong Internet security marketplace."
