e-DMZ Security released eGuardPost, a purpose built stand alone security management appliance that provides a control point for managing system administrator remote connections for protected environments.
eGuardPost was developed to address the needs of the increasingly 'open' business environment and internal network. eGuardPost provides keystroke logging capabilities for Windows and other graphical interface systems with the ability to incorporate dual control, enhanced reporting, and secure storage. In addition to protecting highly valued systems through proxy access, eGuardPost provides accountability for vendors, consultants, outsourcing partners, and employees making system level connections.
"Keystroke logging as an additional compensating control has been used in Unix and other command line driven environments for years," states Kris Zupan, CEO/CTO for e-DMZ Security. "eGuardPost allows this same functionality to be extended to Windows and other graphical environments. As more critical functions are outsourced, the ability to have visibility into the actions of your support organizations becomes more important. Complete replay capability allows the reviewer to see the activity in the same fashion as the original person, instead of trying to reconstruct events from the audit logs."
A secure web interface (HTTPS) controls the process to handle authentication and authorization. Encryption is supported for connections from the client to eGuardPost, and from eGuardPost to the target systems. eGuardPost currently supports various connection methods to the protected systems including: SSH, VNC, or Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
