MCC Computer Company, manufacturer of the Modular PC and modules announced today the MPC helps maintain security.

With the threat of corporate or personal information being obtained illegally, the Modular PC helps maintain the security of corporate and client records. The obvious benefits of the Modular PC are lowering costs and increasing productivity. MCC's Modular PC allows the end user to eliminate the need for multiple computers and duplicate software licenses. Modularity allows the user to decide to be mobile or work in a typical desk top application. The benefits of modularity do not stop there. Modularity also assists in maintaining secure corporate and client records.

Gerald Mizelle, states, "Our practice is growing, but our office space isn't. The MPC allows me to optimize space, eliminates the need for two computers, and has cut down on software and licensing fees, which can add up. But an added benefit of the MCC is the ability to keep records confidential. With the growing need to keep records confidential, at the end of the day, I can secure client files, by undocking the small CPU and locking it in a safe. It would be impossible to do that with three desktop computers! "

The Modular PC measures 3"x5"x3/4", weighs approximately 9.1 ounces and is not much larger than a deck of cards. Inside the Modular PC are a 1 Ghz processor, 512 RAM, all video and I/O circuitry and a 20-40 GB hard drive. Unlike many hand held computers, the Modular PC runs full Windows XP Professional. MCC Computer Company takes modularity one step further. The Modular PC is expandable and upgradeable. The company offers customers upgrade packages for the Modular PC and peripherals. End users can purchase interfaces or modules separately from the CPU.

"Privacy, security and confidentiality issues are affecting the way we do business. Business owners, government employees, and medical professionals are becoming more and more aware of the need to keep records secure", states president of MCC, Klaus Genssler.
