Kishan Singh has been sentenced to 18 months is jail for illegally pirating and distributing software over the Internet via his pay-for-access website.
According to TheRegister.co.uk…
"Over six months, Singh, 33 of Lanham, Maryland, sold thousands of cracked copies of Adobe, Autodesk, Macromedia, and Microsoft programmes with an estimated (presumably retail) value of between $70,000 and $120,000."
In Northern Virginia, Singh pleaded guilty to a single count of copyright infringement. The judge also ordered that he forfeit all computer equipment used in the crime.
