Securify's Board of Directors has named Securify board member and acting Chairman Buck French as Chairman and CEO.
French has a proven track record in both start-up and large software companies. Mr. French was co-founder and CEO of OnLink Technologies, where he grew the company from two to 210 employees, secured funding of more than $37 million and won significant contracts with Fortune 2000 companies. In August of 2000 Siebel Systems acquired OnLink for $609M. While at Siebel, French was the vice-president and general manager of the Interactive Selling Group. Under his leadership this area grew to be the third largest business unit at Siebel.
"Securify has the technology that will allow enterprises to take control of their internal networks to proactively defend against threats and attacks in real time," said Buck French, "The foremost objectives for this coming year will be to continue to bring US Defense-level security to enterprises in an easy to implement, cost effective manner."
"We're excited to have a successful entrepreneur and operator take the helm of Securify," said David Beirne, Principal, Benchmark Capital. "We are confident in his ability to help catapult the company to greater levels of success in 2005 and beyond."
Most recently French was a Partner, at JPMorgan Partners where he was involved with software investing. He earned his MBA from Harvard University and his BS degree in Economics and General Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
