SecureWave announced a more than tenfold increase in its North American channel program.

The Company's North American channel grew from just two resellers earlier this year to more than 22 nationwide, resulting in rapid adoption of the SecureWave Sanctuary suite of endpoint security products for both device and application executable control.

Instead of focusing on blacklisting and the constant updating of signatures, Sanctuary simply enables only the devices and applications that are allowed--everything else is denied, period. Administrators can easily manage a centralized "whitelist" of allowed devices and executables, sheltering them from the Herculean task of maintaining blacklists and other frantic, reactionary approaches to managing device use and application policies.

"Traditional security products like firewalls and anti-virus software cannot match the benefits SecureWave provides to an enterprise's endpoint security arsenal," said Judy Beckes Talcott, director at Canberra Aquila, Inc., a network security solutions provider in Albuquerque, NM (www.aquilagroup.com). "We speak with many organizations across all fields that are deeply concerned about possible data theft and introduction of malicious code through the use of mobile devices. Sanctuary is the answer to these concerns."

"The massive proliferation of plug-and-play end-user devices and the continued threat of rogue applications and malicious executables on corporate endpoints have left organizations facing major gaps in their security defenses," said Mike Motta, vice president at Motta Network eXperts, a network and security services provider in Olathe, Kan. (www.mnex.biz). "Together with SecureWave, we are helping to address these threats by providing a fundamentally new approach to endpoint security that doesn't solely rely on patching or the constant updating of signatures. With Sanctuary's proactive, default-deny approach to security, customers no longer have to react to every new device, vulnerability alert or emerging threat."

"The theft of sensitive corporate data and the propagation of malicious code on corporate endpoints are concerns that stretch across all industries," said Larry Archer, vice president of sales at ProNet Analysis, a leading network and security services provider based in Houston, Texas (www.pronetanalysis.com). "Sanctuary offers a fundamentally different approach to endpoint security and solves problems traditional security technologies can't handle. Our customers know that from the minute we help them deploy Sanctuary on their corporate endpoints, they are turning the tide in the war against new and emerging threats."

SecureWave's Channel Program

SecureWave's expanded channel program includes two levels of support, Gold and Premium, each with varying requirements, commitments and benefits ranging from discounts on solutions and maintenance to sales and technical training to a wide-variety of marketing programs and promotions.

This online management solution enables resellers to generate an evaluation key license for prospects and customers and delivers a complete history and tracking of evaluation downloads.

"In the past three months, SecureWave has assigned hundreds of Sanctuary evaluation requests to channel partners. Our 100 percent channel strategy is fueling significant channel momentum worldwide as more and more organizations struggle to find a fast, simple and affordable means of proactively mitigating serious endpoint threats like zero-day attacks, blended threats and a new generation of portable mass storage media," said Ken Wilson, director of Channel Sales, North America, for SecureWave. "Just 11 months after entering the U.S. marketplace, Sanctuary has quickly become the de facto leader in both device control and proactively protecting against dangerous executables. SecureWave owes a lot of its growing success with more than 400 customers worldwide to the talented resellers and integrators that are helping commercial and government organizations tackle some very challenging security dilemmas."
