Rob Clyde, Symantec's chief technology officer, will participate in a panel discussion at the Federal CTO Summit in Washington, D.C.
The panel, entitled "Driving Technology With Innovation," is scheduled to take place on Friday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Hotel.
The panel will discuss strategies for fostering and maintaining technology innovation in the public sector. Panelists will outline strategies for empowering greater internal innovation, despite inherent challenges common in large, customer-driven organizations seeking to become more agile developers and consumers of technology products and services.
As chief technology officer, Rob Clyde helps maintain the technology vision and strategy for Symantec. With more than 25 years of information security experience, Clyde is a recognized industry authority and is a pioneer in the development of intrusion detection and policy compliance products.
The Federal CTO Summit is a collaborative effort among the U.S. Department of Defense, the intelligence community, civilian federal agencies and state and local governments. Technology experts from the private sector join government officials to share experiences and recommendations on issues of mutual concern.
