Barbedwire Technologies has began a new relationship with NovaST to distribute the award winning DP Inspector (pronounced "deep inspector") security appliances in Italy.

A long-term agreement has been worked out that will also allow NovaST to act as Barbedwire's service center for the region.

"Barbedwire is proud to have such a strong distribution partner in Italy," said Zia Iqbal, CEO of Barbedwire, "I have spent the last several days with the NovaST team and I am very impressed by their staff, facilities, experience, and the excellent relationships they have with their reseller partners. NovaST will be the cornerstone of our entrance into the European market and we expect a very strong and long term relationship to grow between our companies."

"NovaST is always looking for excellent products from great companies that bring exceptional value to our reseller partners and their customers," said Walter Nerboldi, CEO of NovaST. "The network security market is experiencing rapid growth and the DP Inspector security appliances are a perfect fit for Italian SME customers, they pack all of the most important security functions into one appliance at one great price. The needs of SMEs to protect their networks are no different from those of F500 companies and Barbedwire's appliances deliver Big Company security at prices that almost any organization can afford. We are also very pleased to be working with Mr. Gennaro Giachetta, the new SEMEA Regional Director for Barbedwire who has always supported us well over the years."

"My engineering team has been testing the Barbedwire DP Inspector appliance for several weeks and we are very impressed by the functionality, ease of use, and exceptional price points," said Tony Delli Carri, CEO of Egida. "We have a major project we are working on and the DPI500X is a perfect fit."
