McAfee announced major execution milestones in support of the company's global partner program, McAfee SecurityAlliance.
McAfee SecurityAlliance enables partners to secure business profitability by offering their customers the best solutions required to address today's ever-evolving security threats.
In support of McAfee SecurityAlliance, which was announced in May of this year, McAfee has launched the first phase of its Partner Relationship Management (PRM) infrastructure, an implementation that lays the foundation for optimizing partner relationships by providing them the tools, such as product collateral, online sales and technical training, needed to support their customers and prospects. The PRM effort empowers partner operations by anticipating the needs of their potential customers and by delivering tools that will aid in customer support, lead generation and opportunity management.
As part of this PRM roll-out effort, McAfee officially implemented its new partner Web site that provides a single landing page for partners accessing content, tools, joint collateral and profiles. The site enables partner access to localized data and customized regional program offerings, while leveraging the global program content base.
Additionally, McAfee has finalized its partner program structure where partners are tiered into three levels -- ElitePartner, PremierPartner or AssociatePartner -- based on their level of commitment, certification and interest in joint marketing, training and support incentives. For example, partners who are interested in qualifying for the ElitePartner level must commit to a substantial number of technical and sales certification, while maintaining a dedicated sales staff. In return, the ElitePartner receives significant benefits from McAfee including market development funding, support from various marketing resources, a named technical contact, discounted demo units and in-depth planning opportunities.
"McAfee's SecurityAlliance is uniquely suited to help our partners develop revenue opportunities, secure new business, and increase overall profitability," said Kevin Weiss, executive vice president of worldwide sales for McAfee, Inc. "McAfee is delivering on its commitment made earlier this year to offer the breadth and depth of industry-leading solutions and services that partners need to succeed."
The McAfee SecurityAlliance global partner program is available in North America and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and selected countries in Latin America and Asia Pacific. The PRM Web site will also be available in French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish on November 15th.
