Company Offers Complete McAfee Portfolio To Enterprise Partners

McAfee and the enterprise software-focused MOCA Division of Arrow Electronics expanded their agreement that will now enable Arrow to distribute McAfee's network and host intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to their enterprise security solution providers. Arrow's MOCA Division will provide its partner community with the complete McAfee portfolio of products including leading edge McAfee IntruShield and McAfee Entercept intrusion prevention solutions.
Arrow's MOCA Division will distribute the full line of McAfee IntruShield products. This includes the McAfee IntruShield 1200 solution for mid-sized and remote offices; the McAfee IntruShield 1400 for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprise perimeter deployments; the McAfee IntruShield 2600 for enterprise perimeter deployments; the McAfee IntruShield 4000 solution for deployment at the core of the enterprise or data centers; as well as the McAfee IntruShield Global Manager and McAfee IntruShield Manager security management solutions.

"By leveraging Arrow's solid industry relationships and their expertise, McAfee is able to continue expanding its intrusion prevention reach through an extensive reseller network to offer unmatchable proactive security solutions."
McAfee IntruShield provides real-time detection and prevention of network intrusions against enterprise and government networks by proactively preventing threats and attacks 'on the wire' before they hit critical systems. The innovative McAfee IntruShield architecture integrates patented signature, anomaly, and Denial of Service (DoS) analysis techniques, enabling highly accurate and intelligent attack detection and prevention. The IntruShield purpose-built appliances scale from hundreds of Mb/s to multi-gigabit bandwidth rates, and are able to scan traffic and assess threat levels in real-time, even on gigabit networks. Arrow's MOCA Division will also distribute the entire line of McAfee Entercept products including McAfee Entercept Standard Multi-platform Server Agent (which protects servers, Web servers and database servers), McAfee Entercept Desktop Agent (which protects desktops, notebooks and remote systems) and McAfee Entercept Management System.
The McAfee Entercept solution proactively defends enterprises from zero-day and known attacks, mitigates patch deployment urgency for new threats and ensures availability of business-critical systems and applications. Unlike traditional intrusion detection solutions, which merely detect attacks, McAfee Entercept prevents them before they occur.
