Wesley Higaki, director of development and Symantec's common criteria program, will participate on a panel discussion at the Fifth Annual International Common Criteria Conference (ICCC), hosted by the German Federal Office for Information Security.
The panel discussion, entitled "The Way Ahead for Common Criteria," is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 11:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Maritim pro Arte Hotel in Berlin, Germany.
The ICCC is a gathering of professionals with an interest or involvement in information technology security, in particular the evaluation and certification of security in IT products and systems. The conference brings together national Common Criteria representatives from the 14 member countries, including government, industry and academia personnel. This year's conference will focus on the role Common Criteria plays in the development of today's information security solutions and its growing status as the main worldwide standard for the evaluation of IT security to create trust not only in public security systems, but also in the commercial industry.
