Partnership Boosts Email Security Options for the Enterprise Market.

(i)Structure partnered with MX Logic to deliver a comprehensive email perimeter defense service and expertise to the enterprise market.

(i)Structure will offer MX Logic's robust Email Defense Service as part of iConnection, the company's new hosted messaging service for enterprises. Leveraging the MX Logic Email Defense Service, iConnection now blocks 98 percent of spam with an industry-leading low false positive rate (legitimate email marked as spam), and stops unwanted content and attachments, viruses, worms and other email threats such as fraud and phishing scams from entering the corporate email network.

At the heart of the MX Logic Email Defense Service is MX Logic's patent-pending Stacked Classification Framework -- a multi-layered spam-detection system that combines the industry's most powerful spam-fighting techniques including industry heuristics, proprietary heuristics, reputation analysis, URL filtering and reputation-based real-time black hole lists. Working within the Framework, these multiple spam filters separately assess and "vote" on the probability that a specific email is spam.

The proven spam filters in the Stacked Classification Framework are part of MX Logic's 20-plus layers of email defense which also include anti-virus and worm engines, content and attachment filtering, allow and deny lists, and email attack protection. Each layer of defense has unique strengths designed to identify specific threats and the combination of more than 20 filtering techniques makes MX Logic's Email Defense Service one of the most accurate and comprehensive in the industry.

"MX Logic has quickly become one of the industry's premier providers of email defense solutions," said Mike Jones, (i)Structure's president and chief executive officer. "Through (i)Structure's partnership with MX Logic, our iConnection offering is further differentiated by providing a multi-layered approach to email security that is included in all levels of service for no additional charge."

"The focus on email security is more important than ever for the enterprise market, so combining forces with (i)Structure made perfect sense for us," said John Street, MX Logic's chief executive officer. "Through this partnership, the enterprise market receives the best of both worlds; MX Logic's unmatched level of expertise in email defense solutions and (i)Structure's experience as one of industry's most recognized experts in IT outsourcing."

iConnection is a subscription-based offering designed to provide enterprises with Microsoft Exchange 2003 email services at significant cost savings compared to traditional in-house services deployment. Using the iConnection service, enterprises retain control of email user administration without incurring the responsibility and expense associated with maintaining email servers, storage, technicians and service desks. Features of the service include online management tools for customers and partners, and a wide selection of optional services such as Tier 1 Service Desk, Migration services and PDA support.

Jones added that the partnership extends access to high-availability email defense systems beyond large enterprises. "We can now provide our wide range of customers with a robust email defense system not traditionally available to small or medium-sized businesses."

(i)Structure and MX Logic also partnered to develop a white paper for IT executives evaluating email defense options, including an overview of a multi-layered approach to email security, third-party research on threat projections, tips for assessing defense needs within the organization, and expert advice for executives shopping for a defense system under constrained resources. The white paper, titled "Email Defense: Managing the Skyrocketing Costs of Email Security," is available.

"Establishing the partnership with MX Logic to offer the most advanced email protection, along with valuable education and research tools, reaffirms (i)Structure's position as both a consciences and innovative member of the IT community," said Jones.
