Tenable Network Security today announces it has reached a major milestone in market acceptance by surpassing 100 enterprise customers. Since 2003, Tenable has grown its customer and revenue base by 300%.
Founded in 2002 by the creators of the Dragon intrusion detection system and the creators of the Nessus open-source security scanner, Tenable continues to garner the attention of the Fortune 1000 companies that seek a simple yet powerful and scalable approach to enterprise security management. Tenable has acquired large and medium sized customers in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia and helps to protect nearly a trillion dollars of combined market cap for these companies. Tenable's customers include companies in healthcare, financial, energy, education, telecom, manufacturing, and federal, state, local and international governments.
In January of 2004, Network Computing Magazine named Tenable as a "company to watch in 2004." Tenable was one of six companies singled out in the crowded network security marketplace as "innovative".
In addition, Tenable's Lightning Console was selected as a 'Trusted Tool' by the SANS Institute, the world's premier security research and training organization. According to Stephen Northcutt, the director of Training and Certification for the SANS Institute, "This is the first time SANS has ever endorsed a security technology, and our standards are extremely high. We have carefully selected our Trusted Tools based on customer interviews and third party testimonials."
"We are extremely pleased with Tenable's progress to date and the high marks we are receiving from our customers," says Ron Gula, President and CTO of Tenable. "We are focused on making the complex task of securing enterprise networks as simple, automated and cost effective as possible."
Tenable's fully integrated vulnerability and security information management product line includes:
-- Tenable's Lightning Console
-- Tenable's Thunder Log Aggregator
-- Tenable's Nessus
-- Tenable's NeVO
-- Tenable's NeWT and NeWT Pro
