Within weeks of announcing its new ONE Partner Program, CyberGuard, has already begun to recognize its impact as the program rolls out to channel partners.
The innovative initiative is uniting solution providers to better serve customers both large and small.
In July, CyberGuard implemented the new program to assimilate channel providers of the company's recently acquired products (SnapGear and Webwasher) with the flagship brand. The intent to increase channel sales, encourage communication between sales staff and channel providers and offer customers a wider range of solution options, features and price points is becoming a reality.
"Providers have embraced the ONE program and are working together to solve customer security concerns," states Bryan Bain, CyberGuard's vice president of worldwide marketing. "It allows our channel partners to offer solutions that are superior from the technology standpoint and customizable to the specific requirements of customers, no matter the size of the enterprise."
Bain cited a recent coordinated effort in which Diversicom and ARKONA, two ONE Partner Program members, designed a unique solution for Cannon Buick, a large auto dealership in Lakeland, Florida.
"Cannon uses a Web-based dealer management solution to manage their information including finance, parts, service, payroll and sales," stated Scott Beene, president of Diversicom. "They require continuous, reliable Internet access and it is critical to have the highest security possible to protect customer information. As the network integrator, we found that CyberGuard's SG570 appliance was the only solution available on the market that would allow a single site-to-site IPsec VPN session to fail-over using multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs) without user intervention."
Dave Jenkins, the vice president of marketing for ARKONA, which provides the Web-based dealer management solution, stated, "Diversicom, ARKONA and CyberGuard technicians worked together to architect, implement and test this solution. Together, we were able to meet Cannon's requirements and solve a critical customer problem."
The success of that solution was tested recently when, following Hurricane Charley, the local primary communications provider had electrical fluctuations that caused intermittent interruptions to Cannon's primary Internet access line. CyberGuard's fail-over device enabled Cannon's business to stay up and running.
CyberGuard's Bain added that this was exactly how the ONE partner program was designed to work. "As a member of CyberGuard's ONE partner program, resellers worldwide have a large network of support to help accomplish sales objectives. Most importantly, they are offering a trusted solution to customers to protect their assets and their brand."
