F-Secure is now publishing a virus and security weblog.
F-Secure initiated the weblog to provide customers and the media with the latest factual information about breaking viruses, worms, security hacks, and the writers behind them. The weblog and RSS feeds come direct from F-Secure's antivirus labs, located in Helsinki, Finland and San Jose, California. Comments and analyses are updated continually by Mikko Hypponen and the rest of F-Secure's antivirus research team, and postings often include screen shots and images of actual viruses and malware code.
"We really like reading blogs ourselves, so it was natural to start up our own," said Mikko Hypponen, director of antivirus research at F-Secure. "We post commentary, disinfection advice and anything else that we think is interesting and could be useful. I think many people will find it interesting to get an inside look to what life inside a virus lab looks like."
